Overview

The Mentor is a private beta product that helps users connect account, phone, SMS, and Apple-platform signals for personal accountability. We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service, operate integrations, prevent abuse, and support user-requested features.

Information We Collect

We may collect account identifiers from Sign in with Apple, session data, phone numbers, phone verification state, SMS consent records, first-party SMS messages sent to or from The Mentor, delivery statuses, integration connection state, sync metadata, and app diagnostics.

If you choose to connect Apple integrations in the beta, we may process selected Reminders, selected Calendar titles and timing, permitted HealthKit summaries, and macOS app-level activity events. Collection depends on the permissions you grant.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect screenshots, camera input, microphone input, keystrokes, personal iMessage or SMS history, full browser history, raw Screen Time history, Calendar attendee identities, or Calendar location text for the MVP.

How We Use Information

We use information to run The Mentor, authenticate accounts, verify phone numbers, record SMS consent, send user-requested or service-related messages, operate integrations, troubleshoot errors, protect the service, and improve reliability.

SMS Privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent records with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share SMS-related data with service providers, such as Twilio, only as needed to deliver and operate the messaging service.

Service Providers

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, messaging, analytics, storage, and security. These providers may process data only as needed to provide services to us.

Your Choices

You can revoke Apple permissions in your device settings. You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any The Mentor message and can request help by replying HELP. You can also contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data.

Security And Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for beta data. We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or compliance obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain audit records for consent and messaging compliance.
